Acoufelt LLC products achieve six Global GreenTag Environmental Product Declaration™ (GreenTag EPD™) awards - compliant to EN 15804+A2

Acoustic materials manufacturer, Acoufelt LLC, has received Global GreenTag International EPDs, compliant to EN 15804+A2, covering 22 of their products manufactured in the US.

Global GreenTag International EPDs provide Acoufelt with a platform for their product ranges to be recognized globally, including by LEED® in the US, EarthCheck®, Green Star® and also throughout Europe where the GreenTag EPD program is officially recognized and approved as an Established ECO EPD programme and Global GreenTag International – as an ECO EPD Programme Operator.

Acoufelt LLC has achieved a Global GreenTag Environmental Product Declaration ™ (GreenTag EPD™), compliant to EN 15804 for the following products each:

• Acoustic Cut Panels (including Arc Baffle, Ripple Baffle, Interlocking (Tetra & Solis) Clouds, Wall Shapes, Ceiling Panel (Solid), Ceiling Tiles (Solid), Step Baffle, Wing Baffle, Fan Baffle, Fracture Panel and Solid Wall Panel – FilaSorb)

Global GreenTag operates an ISO compliant Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) Program. The reporting of its LCA studies is issued as an ISO 14025 compliant EPD. These summary LCA reports where requested or relevant to local scheme requirements, can also be reported in accordance with ISO 21930 or EN 15804.

In these formats, GreenTag EPDs are LEED® v4 compliant (176 + countries), BREEAM® compliant (78 + countries) as well as recognised by other green building tools, globally, including EarthCheck® (in70 + countries), Green Star®, Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia (IS tool) and Homestar® NZ.

As a program operator, Global GreenTag is responsible for EPD compliance to international Standards as well as to its own instructions and rules. Every GreenTag EPD is underpinned by relevant Product Category Rules (PCRs), a set of specific rules, requirements, and guidelines for developing environmental declarations for products that can fulfill equivalent functions.

PCRs determine what information should be gathered, how that information should be evaluated, and how it should be presented in a form of environmental declare.

ECO Platform stands for the development and coordination of credible and scientifically correct data from products to promote and contribute to sustainable development, including low carbon economy and resource efficiency in the construction sector.
